PULSE Contemporary Miami Beach 2018

As one of the most anticipated events during Miami Art Week, PULSE Contemporary Art Fair is a well-respected source for the discovery of emerging to mid-career artists offering a comprehensive overview of the contemporary art market today. This year marks our 14th edition in Miami, as we return from Thursday, December 6 to Sunday, December 9, 2018 to Indian Beach Park, with 70 international exhibitors and robust programming including large-scale installations and programming.

Founded in 2005, PULSE Contemporary Art Fair is an established part of the annual art calendar and is recognized for providing its international community of emerging and established galleries with a dynamic platform for connecting with a global audience. For daily updates from PULSE, follow us at @PULSEArtFair. See you in Miami. PULSE Miami Beach is located at Collins Avenue and 46th Street with direct access from the beach and the boardwalk.

PULSE is excited to partner with the City of Miami Beach to provide our visitors and exhibitors with a complimentary shuttle service that will operate December 6 – December 9 during fair hours. These shuttles will run approximately every 20 minutes and will make stops between PULSE (parking lot), Art Basel Miami Beach (main entrance along Convention Center Drive) and Ocean Drive between 9th Street and 10th Street.

Visitors will be able to track the status of the shuttle buses in real-time via the City of Miami Beach e-Gov app available in the App Store and Google Play. Attached are images of where you can find the Trolley Tracker on an iPhone. Once the shuttles begin to run there will be an option to choose “2018 Art Week” under the Easy Tracker or Routes Tracker tabs at the bottom.

We hope that this service will allow you to enjoy PULSE and Art Basel with ease this year!

Suzy O’ Mullane is a visual artist, based in Cork, Ireland and the South of France. She has been practicing and exhibiting consistently in Dublin, London, NY, Berlin, Seattle, Miami,Toronto and LA since 1996. Throughout her practice, she has developed and employs multiple encoded forms that have become personal allegorical references. Her work conceptualizes emotional experience, personal and societal identity, migration, travel and memory relating to a particular identity, place, memory, or personal connections. Formally, her paintings and drawings are executed in oil and charcoal on canvas or paper. Scale oscillates between very large (maximum 7ft x 10ft) and small/intimate. Her video, collaborative and performance work supports and intersects with the 2D work and relies on written narrative and layers of associated imagery. Her poetic prose writings are directly associated with her visual works: she has also written published critical essays for other visual artists. O’ Mullane was educated at UCC (BA English) and Crawford College of Art and Design (BA Fine Art (Hons) and Post-Grad. She is co-founder and former director for 6 years of ArtTrail Cork, Cork. Notably, her work has been presented at Context NYC, Art Miami, Art Toronto, Art Chicago, Art Wynwood, Art Palm Beach, Aqua Miami as well as in many solo exhibitions. She has held solo exhibitions at Skotia Gallery, LA, Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork, Triskel Arts Centre, Cork, Solstice Arts Centre, Navan, Ireland, Siamsa Tire Arts Centre, Tralee, Blueleaf Gallery, Dublin, and Origin Gallery, Dublin.
